Telair EcoEnergy the ecofriendly LPG battery charger now in a Lithium version

EcoEnergy is designed for all those camper owners who want greater energy independence, especially when far away from campsites. A user-friendly yet low-maintenance accessory that offers, above all, outstanding performance.

Lugo di Ravenna, Italy (May 8, 2023) – In recent years, Ecoenergy has proved to be a big hit thanks to its outstanding price/quality ratio, performance and reliability. Now, thanks to the Teleco Group Research andDevelopment department, the latest just-released version features several improvements. The TELAIR Ecoenergy 2023, in fact, has new mechanical components and further reduces emissions. What’s more, it can charge any type of battery: not just lead-acid, lead-gel and AGM but lithium batteries too.

“We continue to receive positive feedback from satisfied Ecoenergy customers as it’s a genuinely useful, reliable product for those who enjoy touring in freedom, especially in winter when batteries have to cope with higher-than-normal loads”, says Vittorio Simioli, co-founder of Teleco/Telair.

The new low-emissions, gas-powered 2-stroke engine is built with fewer components, making it compact, light and more reliable. The engine design also has the considerable advantage of minimizing maintenance requirements and, consequently, costs for the user. The new Ecoenergy has a capacity more than double that of a Fuel Cell or a 100W solar panel. Moreover, highly advanced electronic control ensures energy delivery to the batteries is fully automatic.

When the control unit warns that battery voltage has dropped below 11.9 V it automatically starts the Ecoenergy engine. Once maximum battery charge (14.5 V) is reached, the engine stops. The design also focused on acoustic insulation, resulting in the application of special sound-absorbent materials that make noise levels almost imperceptible. Ecoenergy is powered by LPG (butane, propane or a
mix of the two), a fuel widely available throughout the service station network and in camper accessory stores across Europe.

There are three Ecoenergy versions in the catalogue: those that deliver a nominal current of 20 A/h (TG 480,TG 480 MEF) consume 240 g/h while the higher-performing 25 A/h model (TG 600 MEF) consumes 270 g/h.

The MEF versions feature an optimized combustion system, allowing them to function perfectly even when the camper reaches altitudes as high as 2700 meters. Lastly, the compact design (overall dimensions are just 56.5 x 38 x 25 cm) has the further advantage of making installation easier, as Ecoenergy can be installed in the lower part of the vehicle or even in the false floor cavity (if present).

The control panel has two red and green LEDs that allow immediate monitoring of proper EcoEnergy operation. Needless to say, there’s a switch to activate the system and a button for manual start.
